Birthplace: Sacramento, CA.
Grew up: Refuse to do it. (Sacramento)
Started playing: Accordion, age 5. Clarinet, age 10. Saxophone and flute in 9th grade.
Education: M. Mus. In Clarinet Performance, Univ. of Washington 1981. Studied clarinet with David Glazer in New York City, 1978-79.
Began with SRS: 1984 as a regular. Played a few sets in 1983.
Non-SRS Groups: Numerous jazz groups, Lee Presson and the Nails.
Favorite music: Jazz, R&B, Motown.
In my iPod: Jazz occupies more than 50%. Lots of Classical. Lots of rock, pop, salsa, latin, world….the whole gamut, really.
Hobbies: Travel, writing, hiking
