Can I Purchase Tickets At The Performance? Yes. Single tickets can be purchased on the day of the concert at the theater beginning 1 hours prior to the concert start, subject to availability.

 

Where Should I Park And How Much Does It Cost? Free parking is available at the north and south entrances to the theater. Premier parking is available in the Bell Performance Club Lot for donors who give $2,000 or more per season. For more information, visit Support or email Enid Rickley.

 

What Should I Wear? For SRS classical performances, most patrons wear nice casual to dressy or business clothes. Discovery Rehearsals are generally more casual and Gala events are usually black tie.

 

May I Take Pictures During The Concert? Cameras as well as other recording devices can create major distractions for the musicians and audience members around you. As a result, no still, video cameras or tape recorders of any kind are permitted.

 

What If I Have To Cough? In an effort to help reduce distracting noises and enhance the concert-going experience, the Santa Rosa Symphony provides complimentary cough suppressant tablets to patrons, subject to availability. Please ask an usher if you would like one.

 

When Do Performances Start And End? SRS performances vary in length depending on the program but are generally 2 hours which includes a 20 minute intermission. If there is an intermission, it will be noted in your program book. If you step outside the building during intermission, please be sure to have your ticket stub with you for reentry. When Is It Appropriate To Applaud? The audience will applaud to welcome the conductor when he or she walks out onto the stage. In most works performed at SRS, a movement is a large division of a larger composition or musical form. For example, symphonies are typically divided into four movements and concertos into three. It is appropriate to clap after the final movement of an entire work. If you're still not sure, you can always wait for the rest of the audience to clap before applauding. Another good sign is when the conductor either turns around or steps off the podium (the elevated "box" he or she stands on).

 

What Are Concert Conversations? Concert Conversations are relaxed, informative 30-minute discussions with the conductor and begin one hour prior to each subscription series concert. These talks provide an insightful and entertaining introduction to the music, composers and guest artists. They are FREE, before subscription concerts in the Main Theater, Saturdays at 7 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m., Mondays at 7 p.m.

 

Can I Bring Children To The Symphony? Attending the symphony as a family is a great way to spend time together, but since live music is appreciated in a quiet environment and concerts tend to be too long for children we recommend attending the.

 

A good alternative to our regular subscription concerts, the Discovery Rehearsals are the final dress rehearsal on the Saturday of a performance weekend, beginning at 2 pm. While we do not have a policy forbidding children from attending regular subscription performances, we do ask that your child be well behaved in order to not disrupt the performance.

 

I Missed The Concert. Do You Have A Recording? Santa Rosa Symphony subscription performances are broadcast on local public radio KRCB 90.9 FM/91.1 FM and also on Marin Cable 95.7 FM at noon on the second Sunday following concert weekends. Can I Bring My Cellular Phone? Cell phones, pagers, watches and other electronic devices that cause noise are not permitted in the theater. Please be courteous to our musicians and your fellow audience members and turn off any electronic devices prior to entering the theater.

 

What If I Am Late? As a courtesy to the performers and the audience, latecomers will not be seated until the earliest appropriate program break, at the discretion of management. Please wait at the door nearest your seat and an usher will escort you at the appropriate break in the performance.

Beverages: Wine, soft drinks, coffee, tea and water are sold in the lobby before the performance and during intermission at the Classical Series. See's candy is also available and all proceeds benefit the Santa Rosa Symphony youth ensembles. Food and beverage is not permitted in the theater at any time.

 

Coat Rack: A complimentary coat rack is available for use at most performances near Door 1 and 7 of the Wells Fargo Center lobby. While our staff does their best to watch the rack, SRS assumes no liability for lost or stolen items.

 

Smoking: There is no smoking in the theater or lobby. Smoking is permitted outside, 20 feet from the building.

 

Telephone: A pay phone is available outside the north entrance.

 

Emergencies: Any emergency at or during a performance should be reported to the a Wells Fargo Center or Santa Rosa Symphony employee. These individuals will be in the lobby and will have a radio.


Lost & Found
: Items left at SRS concerts are kept at the Wells Fargo Center in the main office. Items are only kept for 30 days. Call (707) 527-7006 to check for lost items.

 

Gift Certificates: Give the Gift of Music! Gift Certificates are available for purchase in any denomination at the Box Office or by calling (707) 546-8742.

 

Wheelchair & Handicapped Accommodations: The Santa Rosa Symphony and Wells Fargo Center provides access for the disabled on the main floor lobby at both the north and south entrances, access to bathrooms, designated seating and listening devices. Unfortunately, there is no elevator to the second floor level. When purchasing your tickets with the Box Office, please notify them if you need a handicapped seat or other arrangements. Handicapped parking is also available near the entrances in both parking lots. Neither WFC nor Jackson Theater balconies are accessible by elevator.

 

Assisted Listening Devices Headsets are available free of charge at the SRS ticket table prior to each performance.

 

Large Print Programs are available for each subscription concert. Please ask your usher for a copy.

 

Transportation

The Santa Rosa Symphony offers a bus for Classical Series concerts on Sundays from Oakmont and from Spring Lake Village. Reservations are reccomended for the bus and may be purchased by calling the SRS box office during regular business hours at 546-8742. $70 for full 7 classical series performances or $15 for individual classical concerts. The bus is not provided for special concerts or festivals.

Oakmont Bus

Pickup begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Berger Center, 301 White Oak Drive. The bus leaves at 2:00 p.m. and arrives at the Wells Fargo Center by 2:30 p.m. The bus waits for passengers and returns once the concert is completed.

 

Spring Lake Village

Pickup begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Spring Lake Village roundabout, 5555 Montgomery Dr. The bus leaves at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at the Wells Fargo Center by 2:00 p.m. in time for Concert Conversations. The bus waits for passengers and returns once the concert is completed.
