Enjoy scenic cruising along the Volga-Baltic waterways from May 16-29, 2010 on the recently renovated Viking Surkov, one of the best ships in Russia. Begin with 4 days in Moscow. A city tour includes Red Square, the Bolshoi Theater, St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Kremlin and a folkloric performance. Continue on to Uglich, an ancient small city with marvelous medieval Russian architecture, then to Yarisloval (1010 A.D.) and on to Goritzy, a charming riverside village. There’s new scenery every day, with 11 guided shore excursions, traditional Russian Tea and Culture Lessons, a Russian Cuisine workshop and more. End with four days in St. Petersburg, including a visit to the renowned Hermitage Museum,Catherine’s Palace in Pushkin and a ballet or opera performance. There’s also ample free time to explore this historic, architecturally-rich city.
