From
humble beginnings in 1928, the Santa Rosa
Symphony has grown to a highly respected
regional orchestra, the seventh largest in the
state of California, presenting 21 classical
performances plus specials.
In
summer 2000, the SRS became the
Orchestra-in-Residence in the new Festival on
the Green at Sonoma State University. Starting
with the first performances at the Elks Lodge,
to the retirement of Corrick Brown after 37
seasons, to Jeffrey
Kahane's leadership into the 21st Century,
